Here is an example of the Lakeview North team preparing a 27 foot wide by 43 foot long building area for a concrete foundation on Muskoka bedrock.
Whether it’s site preparation, foundation excavation, or land grading, we prioritize safety and quality, ensuring your project is executed seamlessly. It is a labour intensive and necessary first stage to any building construction.
Steps:
- Once site has been ascertained, clear away vegetation, debris and surface soil.
- Excavate trench through to water source. The trench is approximately 18 inches deep and will be used for drainage and as a route to install the water pipe for the building.
- Continue the excavation process with man power, machinery and introduce high-pressure water to rinse off the remaining soil from the building area.
- Fabricate the foundation base on the rock surface in preparation for crushed rock, sub-surface building plumbing/ drains and base level concrete.
A well planned and constructed foundation ensures the building stage of your residential or commercial property can be created according to plan. Safely excavating and hauling away unneeded material is a necessary part of foundation construction and leaves the area unobstructed for further work.
