Drywall installation requires expertise and experience. The result of a well-executed project is visible to the eye. Poorly installed panels (often caused by inferior framing construction) will show bends/ warps and seams. If proper insulation and moisture barriers are not used, seams will crack.
This Lakeview North residential drywall project illustrates wall board installation, taping and basic finishing. We can offer drywall and taping services for your business, home and cottage. Ask us about other features such as sound proofing, wall insulation, textures and repairs.
Cutting corners (pardon the pun!) will show up soon after your fresh paint dries. One aspect often overlooked, is to use the correct drywall screws and a sufficient quantity to affix boards to the frame/ backing.
Windows and electrical outlets were created with precision. Often overlooked in a custom drywall project is the sufficient use of screws. CertainTeed NO-COAT Ultraflex325 Flexible Drywall Corner formulated face paper was used above the windows to marry the wall and angle of the ceiling. This photograph also reveals the drywall screws at the baseboard level used to attach the panel to the frame.
Taping and joining offer endless options. Inset lighting and electrical outlets should be carefully considered before any drywall panels are mounted and plastered.
A support structure was installed following the drywall board installation, taping and basic finishing. In the background, you can see our crew hard at work.
